"This is the best tree-lovers monument that could possibly be found in all the forests of the world," declared conservationist John Muir when describing the majestic coast redwoods of Muir Woods.Just north of the Golden Gate Bridge, take the drive up the mountain, enjoying the view of the north bay, and some scary winding turns - make sure u have a good driver! You will find Muir Woods. Here you get to walk through a loop trail (with a cut-through for the people wanting the really quick route) and see lots of beautiful redwoods. The park is full of posts and signs with information about the redwoods, learn about the ecosystem or redwoods forests, what a nursery is, and even some tid-bits about fires. The whole family, even my mom, enjoyed this park. So while we may not be able to take mom to yosemite or avenue of the giants, she will be happy to go to this little treasure.

Glad to have found your blog, good luck with the new business, they're needed out there in the land of meat-eaters. I live and work in an animal-free circus but am the only vegetarian in it.
