Our Journey: Maternity Clothes

It's coming to that time that maternity clothes are way more comfortable than regular clothes - and I have only a few pieces, so a few days ago I went shopping for some new clothes!
It just so happened that we enetered the mall through Sears, so I took a look at the maternity section, I found a great pair of shorts and a shirt, the rest that I saw I wasn't very impressed with. I have to mention, I did believe I just can't find nice maternity clothes, so I might as well try any store that has maternity. Most of the clothes look frumpy on me or exmpasize my butt - not what I need. We went into the Mall and found Mimi Maternity. MUCH NICER! I've been thinking about designing my own maternity clothes, they have much of the style I would make, HOWEVER, after trying on at least 50 items, i'm not kidding, I bought 4 pieces, 3 shirts and a skirt. All very cute, they just dont go with my bra, I wear a Blue Canoe Jane Bra

Organic cotton, super soft, no underwire, has a cross over style, the most comfortable bra ever. The straps on this bra, as u see from the picture are very thick, so they show on almost all of the tops I tried on.

So here are 2 of the 4 pieces I got. The other issue with Mimi, the clothes still look frumpy on me, or hug my butt.

Then I went with Chris to Express, and while he was shopping I did some looking around. In the past Express clothes haven't fit me very well, I used to be an in-between size, a little too big for regular sizes, and too small for plus size. Well that was the past, in these months of really taking care of myself, and getting lots of sleep I've lost weight, which i hear is typical for the 1st trimester for some women. To my delight the clothes at Express fit me way better than the maternity stuff. Funny that many of the styles now are maternity-like. So here are a few of the items I got, This first dress I got in white.
