We have been in search of a new home! Last week we visited Asheville, NC. It was an interesting trip and we learned a lot. This week we went to the San Fran Bay Area. Spent our time in san jose, and looked at land in boulder creek. We love the santa cruz mountains and hope to be able to start our small (2 family) community, there. We will be off the grid, living in yurts, or other low-impact natural home, with water catchment, compost toilets, veganic permaculture gardening, etc....

The santa cruz mountains are just amazing, it's a rain forest in the middle of a dry arid land (which once was also lush land). it just feels like the right place for us. I'm imagining hiking in big basin, checking out the waterfalls and redwoods. Living on a mountain with clean area and a stream. Soon, it will happen very soon!
